Dr Dispatch 6.1 build 45 and beyond integrates with the Twilio Messaging/Voice service to provide SMS/Cellular text capabilities from within Dr Dispatch.


You can go to http://www.twilio.com to get an account (SIGN UP button).  


The cost typically comes out to a $5-10 / month to Twilio depending on how many in/out messages you send.

To sign up you'll need to provide:


  1. Your First / Last Name
  2. Optional Company Name
  3. Email Address
  4. Password

As well as answer a few questions about what you're building.  (Twilio is for developers and these questions reference developing).

Here is how to answer the questions:

What are you building:  SMS ALERTS
Choose your language: OTHER
Which product do you plan to use first: PROGRAMMABLE SMS


After your Account is created, you will need to verify that you are human.   It's simple Just enter your cell phone number and click the "text me" button.  
You will receive a code to enter in to prove that you are you. 

Enter the code that was send to you via text.  The message will look like this: 


 " Ahoy from Twilio! Enter ### #### on the sign up page to verify your account. This is a 1-time message. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."



Time to "Get your fist twillo number!"


The system will generate a number that will be your new text number for using Twillo.   Click "Choose this Number" and you are almost ready! 




Now you are ready to start using your new phone number.
