Email setup is quick but settings vary greatly between email providers. You must fill out all of the requested information correctly in order for the email integration to work. If you are unsure of your outgoing mail server or port, please consult with your IT department. Some information may be readily available online after a quick Google search.
After your information is entered, press 'Test Settings' to check for successful configuration by sending an email to yourself.
Special note for Gmail users: There may be settings that need to be changed in your email account. Google requires the extra steps in order for Gmail to integrate with third-party software such as Dr. Dispatch.
This error is telling us that your gmail account does not have the correct security permissions set to allow DRD to send emails on your behalf.
This is fixed by logging into your Google account and modifying your account settings. See the solution from Google below.
Access your account
To help keep your account secure, we may block these less secure apps from accessing your account, and you’ll see a “Password incorrect” error when trying to sign in. If this is the case, you have two options:
- Upgrade to a more secure app that uses the most up to date security measures. All Google products, like Gmail, use the latest security measures.
- Go to Allow less secure apps and choose “Allow” to let less secure apps access your Google account. We don't recommend this option because it may make it easier for someone to gain access to your account.
If you’re still having issues accessing your account after trying the options above, see other reasons you might receive the"password incorrect" error.
