The Split load button is just above the STOP grid on the DISPATCH tab.

a split load is a load that has more then ONE trk involved anywhere from pickup to last delivery.

If you split a load, it has a status of 'DROP LOADED' and will show on loadboard that way. this is a good way to catch your eye and they cannot be forgotten!!

a split load ends up with THREE pieces in the end.

original load (xxxx)-> intact for billing purposes etc. does NOT show on loadboard. ONLY one to show in INVOICING!

leg one (xxxx.01)-> the first leg is created when you press the 'split' btn and say YES to create. you chanhe the STOPS to match REALITY, where trk went etc

leg two (xxxx.02)-> the second leg must be created by splitting the MASTER pro # a SECOND TIME. This is where folks get lost. Once you have the 2nd leg, fill out the stops to suit what really happened. picked at YARD->Chicago, il.

you treat EACH leg as a load because it is. once leg one is done, maek it EMPTY, will give you drv pay etc.

leg 2 then is tracked until EMPTY, all load history is retained, load is broker up and IFTA miles remain correct

**if you have PERCENT paid drvs involved, it gets complicated. you msut tell DRD how much to apy drv. most do not own a mileage software, that makes it impossible to calc what percent of a load drv A did and drv B,  in order to split up the gross pay and clacl their pay.

note: we are going to simplify the SPLIT process in near future, providing BOTH legs in one button press)
