1. Download the Upgrade Installer
    • You can always find the current upgrade at our website:
      • If you are using an older version of DRD8, then you will need to retrieve and use a copy of the upgrade installer used on your existing installations, or download/install the current installer to upgrade all installations to the current version.
  2. Run the Installer
    • During the installation, you will normally receive errors that DRD can't connect to the database. This is expected since the new station does not know your server's network settings yet. Close any errors encountered during the installation, then close DRD.

  3. Retrieve copies of settings files from another workstation
    1. On a working client computer, open Windows File Explorer.
    2. In the file path bar, type in: %appdata%
    3. Open the DrDispatch folder.
    4. Retrieve copies of the "drd4.ini" and "ConnectionDefs.ini" files to transfer to the new station.
      • Any common file transfer method will work. Using an external/flash drive, a shared network folder, or emailing the files to yourself are the most typical methods.

  4. Paste the settings files into user's profile
    1. On the new client computer, open Windows File Explorer.
    2. In the file path bar, type in: %appdata%
    3. Open the DrDispatch folder.
    4. Paste in the copies of the "drd4.ini" and "ConnectionDefs.ini" files. Overwrite existing files if prompted to do so.
