Please follow the instructions below very carefully. Deviating from the steps outlined can cause problems.
Stopping the NexusDB Server Service
- Open Windows Task Manager.
- Right-click on the Windows taskbar, then select Task Manager.
- Access Windows Search and search for Task Manager.
- Click on the "Services" tab.
- Scroll down and locate "NXDBServer V4".
- Right-click on it and select "Stop".
- You can also perform the same steps to locate and stop the NXDBServer service using WIndows' Services utility if you'd prefer.

Creating a Database Backup
Browse to your DRD database folder where your databases are stored.
- By default, this is located at: C:\ProgramData\Holland Solutions\DrDispatch 5\

- Select, then right-click the folder of the database that you wish to backup.
- By default, the primary database folder is named: data
- Select "Send to..." then select "Compressed (zipped) folder" to create a .zip archive of your database.
- We recommend renaming the newly created zip file something meaningful, such as: companyname_todaysdate.zip, to prevent conflicts between multiple backup files.

- Move your new backup zip to a safe location outside of the database folder to avoid potential conflicts later on.
Restarting the NexusDB Server Service
After your backup zip has been created, go back to Services or the Services tab in Task Manager, then Start the NXDBServer V4 service.
